Eland makes a splash at solar boat championships
Elandflex Cable had its 15 minutes of fame in Fayetteville, Arkansas, earlier this summer at the 2009 Solar Splash World Championship.
Used to connect the battery and motor on board Southampton University’s high-powered solar boat ‘Tarka’, our PVC Flexible cable played a crucial role at the sustainable technology event. So we weren’t surprised when the team picked up a whole host of awards – including ‘Best Score for a Rookie Team’ and 10th place overall. Not bad for the UK’s first ever entrant.
