Eland Cables Helps Build Homes in Nepal

Much as we'd love to say we've been getting down and dirty building the homes with our own bare hands, we have to admit that our cable expertise is far better than our brick-laying skills, and so we left that to the experts and instead helped out financially. Eland Cables has paid for the building of 2 homes to be used by Kamayan people in Nepal. This is part of a project that involves the building of 25 new homes (each of which will usually house a whole family of roughly 20 members), The families now live in the streets and are rejected by society, since they belong to the lowest class in Nepal. They have only recently regained freedom from slavery, and so we hope to provide them with a stable base from which to rebuild their lives.
