Defence Standard Cable

Multi-Core flexible cables conforming to Defence Standard 61/12 Part 4 and Part 5 are specified for high-density wiring and local interconnection between components. They’re also designed for use within instruments and electronic equipment for MOD use.

Eland’s Defence Standard Cables can be used in aircraft, avionic control systems, computers, data processors, military vehicles and military equipment. Eland Cables range of Defence Cables includes Multi-Core Data Cables to Def Stan 61/12 Part 4 which can withstand contamination with fuel and mineral based fluids and lubricants.

Initially manufactured for Defence and military use, defence cables are also now widely used for industrial purposes thanks to their range of sizes for most applications and a higher working voltage.
