Today, Eland Cables is a fast growing, global supplier of electrical cables and cable accessories. A company recognised for its unique focus on creating a highly motivated, customer-centric team, with the energy and commitment to deliver a fresh, efficient approach to the cable business. This approach has won us significant recognition including being repeatedly voted one of the ‘Top 100 Best Companies to Work For’ in the Sunday Times’ annual survey.

From the very start we realised we would need to deliver, not just a substantial, quality product range but also the highest levels of customer service and support. We would have to listen to the specific requirements of our customers, across a range of industries, and respond with the kind of understanding and delivery that would keep them coming back for more.

To empower us to do this we have actively targeted high-calibre people across all our disciplines. We have then introduced and grown the resources to support their efforts. The company’s state-of-the-art Distribution Centre with secure stockholding capabilities of c. 7,000,000 cubic sq ft is just one example of this. Our modern handling systems are another. So is the testing capability of our technical assurance team.

Our innovative approach to the way we do business, and the resulting growth in the business, has caught the eye of substantial investors. Established in 1975, Eland Cables has enjoyed the support of leading institutional investors. Following the injection of development capital by 3i Group Plc in its early days, the company joined Unidare Plc, an industrial group formerly listed on the London Stock Exchange. A management led buy-out in 2005 saw the company triple its revenues both domestically and internationally to become a market leader in several markets, including the rail sector.
