Our Story

Cables shouldn't cost the earth

ISO 14001 Environmental ManagementWe clearly understand the environmental challenges that face a business like ours. From reducing our carbon footprint to energy and waste issues in our day to day business, we are committed to seek out and implement best practice at all levels.

We are committed to monitoring and reducing the company’s carbon footprint and have implemented a continuous improvement programme to encompass all aspects of our carbon usage and waste.

Like most environmentally aware companies, we understand that reducing our carbon footprint can also have added cost benefits. Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are set by the board in areas such as energy usage, waste recycling and packaging in order to reduce the effective carbon footprint of the company.

Eland Cables is also working with suppliers to reduce packaging materials and maximise container utilisation in a further effort to lower our environmental impact.

The company seeks to achieve its environmental objectives through management systems which are designed to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004. This is reviewed and managed in line with our quality management system.

Our environmental system is independently certified by Bureau Veritas. A copy of the certificate is available for download within the 'Our Quality' section of this website.

At home here in the UK and throughout all the international markets we operate in we impose a scrutiny and discipline designed to achieve measurable results.
