Switchgear can be found in a wide range of industries, as it is an essential part of power distribution systems, and the integration of circuit protection equipment. Eland's British Standard Coil End Lead is a flexible supply and distribution cable with a rugged construction. Coil End Lead has a tight bend Radii, which is a great advantage as many Switchgear installations have serious space restrictions, and flexibility is key to allow system designers greater freedom in the location of the system.

Tri-rated Cable is preferred for use within the switchgear unit. This high quality harmonised cable is approved to BS, UL and CSA standards, is ideally suited to panel wiring, and provides a reliable internal connection as part of switchgear. This is particularly useful in applications where there is a threat to human life in the event of a fire, or in data centres where electronic equipment would be harmed by the gases produced by a fire.

Tri-rated Cable (H07V2-K) to BS6231 Toggle

Application: Tri-rated Cable panel wiring is a high temperature, flame retardant cable designed for use in the switch control, relay and instrumentation panels of power switchgear and for purposes such as internal connectors in rectifier equipment, motor starters and controllers. Tri-rated Cable is sometimes referred to as BS6231 Cable, H07V2-K or Panel Wire.

Application: These cables are designed to provide high flexibility and have the capacity to withstand weather, oils/greases, mechanical and thermal stresses. Applications include handling equipment, mobile power supplies, worksites, stage and audio visual equipment, port areas and dams. Also for use in drainage and water treatment, cold environments and severe industrial environments.

Coil End Lead Cable to BS6195 Toggle

Eland Product Group: A6K

Application: Coil leads are used mainly in electrical machinery and panel wiring. The HOFR sheath resists oil and varnish and the stranding is designed as a compromise between flexibility and positional stability. Also suitable as an alternative to tri-rated and bi-rated cable in certain applications.

Application: In pipes or ducts and internal wiring of appliances with maximum operating temperatures of 90°C, and generally in areas (such as public and government buildings) where smoke and toxic fumes may cause a threat to life and equipment. The cables produce no corrosive gasses when burnt which is particularly important where electronic equipment is installed.
